Assignment 1:

Mock Political Campaign

“ Growing up in a post-millennial society our generation has had to bare the stigma of

being too opinionated, too loud and above all, too privileged. This however idealistic, just isn’t entirely the truth. As young creatives alike, we are often met with waves of disapproval from both the left and right. Any one individual with a background in science or commerce to name a few are said to be far more successful than members of the creative arts. This double standard still exists even when the world is striving on creativity. This added with said stigma makes it hard for many young aspiring creatives to enter this ever-growing industry. The Rainbow Blimp Movement seeks to represent these unheard voices. We realise that so much of these so called “notions” are nothing more than policies made by mankind itself. As a movement so strongly charged with the virtue of enlightenment we hope to break these man-made barriers by bridging this gap of confusion between both the sidelined creatives and our many nay-sayers.

In battling this ever growing notion, we strive to listen to you, fellow young creatives. At the same time, we also wish to engage with the general public who may share a similar disregard of the validity of our craft. The generation that have the right to judge us, point out that we need to speak out our opinions more yet they never listen. This is something we as a group of 11 young “privileged post-millennials” are hoping to change.

- Our claims are simple; we aim to reveal what it actually means to be a creative individual living in 2018. And even if you are against our claims, we’ll be there to support YOU. We strongly encourage you to come up to us and perhaps we could get to know each other over some tea and biscuits.

We promise we wont bite. ”
